February 2007 Former partners of Winston Strawn and brothers Joseph and Edward Zaknoen announce the formation of Zaknoen & Zaknoen LLC, a general practice law firm with offices in Chicago and Flossmoor, Illinois.

October, 2007 Mayor Roger G. Molski appoints Joseph J. Zaknoen to the Village of Flossmoor Zoning Board of Appeals.

April 10, 2008 Friends of Zaknoen & Zaknoen LLC donate $1,550.00 to "bail" Joseph J. Zaknoen out of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's "jail" at Aurelio's Pizza in Homewood, Illinois. The event raised over $40,000.00 for MDA.

April 22, 2008 Joseph J. Zaknoen will participate in a panel discussion at the Chicago Inn of Court entitled "Surviving the Long Trial."
